Mary Ann Michaels Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Ann Michaels, 79, of Forked River passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Clark and Linden before settling in Forked River in 2007. Mrs. Michaels was a wonderful mother of five children whom she loved and cherished more than anything. She is quoted as saying “my children are the most important thing in the world to me”. She was a very generous person who donated to several charitable organizations on a regular basis including Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Veteran’s groups, the Salvation Army, and Wounded Warriors. She had an interest in fashion design and the creative arts. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Wichowski Jr. in 1988, and by her sons, Stanley Ethan “Sonny” Michaels in 2013 and John David Michaels in 2006. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Michaels-Bukowski and her husband William of Whitehouse Station, Peter (PJ) Michaels and his wife Dina of Gainesville, FL, and Ron Michaels of Forked River; her grandchildren, Alexander and Jordan; and her sister, Eleanor Fortuna of Ocean Gate. Cremation was private under the care of Forked River Funeral and Cremation Service, 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River.
